So I work at this food service restaurant which I started a week ago. Today I was happy because I thought I’d be taking home $80 in tips but when my shift ended and asked for my tips the new assistant manager only gave me $40 out of the $80 and no one else was working besides me and her and my general manager. Everywhere I worked good service related, managers never took tips. Correct me if I’m wrong please but I thought managers weren’t allowed to take tips?? I live in California if that makes a difference
