So 16 years ago I worked at a fast food place called Taco Bell. I've worked there for 2 years because back then it was more common for places that hire before age 16. It's really awesome when your 14 or 15 years old and you're making a few hundred dollars a month to freely spend on whatever you want.
Anyway I requested some time off and I remember my boss telling me he couldn't grant it. He gave me some BS excuse and I simply said to him, let me rephrase, I will not be here so if you're putting me on the schedule you'll have to find coverage and I walked away.
I proceed to still work there for another 2 years until I moved onto other retail nightmares while in college before I started my career. I can't believe how far ahead of my time I was all the way back then.
