How do people do it?
Wake up every morning, go to a job that you don't enjoy, make loads of money for your boss while only making pennies back, get home with barely any time for yourself so instead you just eat dinner and go right to bed just to do it all over again. Then on your days off you're too drained to partake in any of your hobbies so instead you do the necessities (laundry, trash, a bit of other cleaning maybe) and spend the rest, well, resting. I'm just starting my first “real” adult job (40hrs/week) and it's honestly a nightmare. I want to be able to do what I want to when I want to, and to create content that helps people. I also don't have the attention span to sit at a desk for hours out of the day. But instead I'm stuck working this job just so I can…
A living wage
Handing in 2 week notice today!!!!
Have been working at a very toxic and controlled work environment where we do everything for the doctor. All of his dictation, biopsies, setting up and closing for surgeries for very little pay, can't have a phone on you (I am a mom, need to be available in case of emergency). Start my new job in hospice, where kindness is a skill necessary to succeed and my soul can be fulfilled. Wishing you all the best in your endeavors!!! I can't wait to turn this sucker in today. It's oddly the…
I think they are not human they are evil
We’re a family here.
We must work Easter holidays
So we just got told that our entire team has to work the Easter holidays which are designated national holidays. I already have plans which is quite frustrating. When we told them it's a national holiday, they responded saying that head office said we are lucky we don't have to work weekends, so should be appreciative of that. In our team, everyone will begrudgingly work, so if I said no, then I'll be the one who's not a “team player” We will get a day off in lieu, but I already have plans etc. A day off in lieu doesn't cut it
I forgot I don’t really have that bad…
Here we are 5am on a Tuesday, woke up and exhausted again, and getting ready to commute to the dangerous & hot construction site. Then I realized “hey I don't have it so bad” because there are people who have to go back to the temperature controlled office instead of working at home!
