About healthcare costs in usa…
Want to do sonething to lower it? Make lobbying illegal since all it is is legal bribery. Do like other countries do and cap what the companies can charge. Make it illegal to give doctors “incentives” for prescribing their drugs. That amongst a ton of others. Seems common sense to most but money kicks common semse out the door. Ever wondered why you keep seeing drug commercials? A ton of drug makers monies goes into marketing. Hell make advertsing their drug illegal unless they also go over the cons of their drugs (and not only in fine print) .that money could be used on r&d to speed up health solutions and such. Why do you think drug companies love america? They make a killing off of us. God bless them but also fuck them
Been working in this store for 4 years also in management. I have found a course I want to invest time in and I need to go down in hours to be able to manage it. The thing is my manager tend to guilt trip people that becomes unavailable or talks smack about them to me. Also tend to be passive aggressive and give less shifts on purpose. I wanted to change jobs during Christmas but was too scared because I have a feeling upper management would call me selfish for leaving in such a busy period of the year so I held off until now, but now my manager will be undergoing surgery Instead and is stressing alot about staff. Rolling the eyes to anyone that has requested time off during this period. If I request to go down in hours now, they will for sure think I'm selfish.…
A valued employee
My coworker put in his notice and in a bid to keep him my boss offered to send him to school to become a registered nurse on the company dime. Which is awesome for him –he turned it down anyway– but he's only worked there for 2 years. I've been working there for over 5 years. Never once have I been offered that even after expressing interest. I am cross trained for every position that doesn't require more schooling. I stay late, cover shifts, come in on my days off, work more hours than what I'm actually paid for to make sure everything runs smoothly and have called in sick maybe 3 times at most while working there. I had to call in sick about a year ago but ended up having to go to work anyway because the job I currently do no one else is trained for and…
No one at your job cares about you. I’m 25 years old. I have been working at this startup company for 2 years. I gave my all to it. I constantly work overtime without OTP, I commit my all to my work because of what I thought was high work ethics, and I always wanted my work to be of value, so I work hard, for two years, until I burn out. I liked working in a startup because it allowed me to build a company that promotes the right values, instead of turning to greenwashing like their competitors are, which the company eventually turned into. I have tried raising the opinion that what we are doing isn’t right, but it got ignored. And so I shut up and just do my job. It was fine for a month, i accepted it, I’m not here to build something, I am…

So the only real difference would be unpaid overtime (extra PTO is overtime compensation for salaried employees) I refused and have since been paid over 80 hours of time and a half for overtime.
5 “Atta Boy” talks yesterday
If you don’t know what a “atta boy” is it’s where when someone comes up, pays you on the back and says “atta boy”. It’s basically a good job while fucking you My company has made it mandatory for us to work every other Saturday for the next two months because “we are behind on production” even though the warehouse is completely full and the product we make is starting to be placed around the company in any open spots that can be found. Well yesterday 5 different people from management came around at 5 different times to tell us how hard we’ve been working and how great the numbers are and how proud they are of us. After the second one I started asking “does that mean we are off Saturday?” And from the look on their face it was obvious I was suppose to thank them for coming…
