Hi I don't know if this belongs here but I didn't know where else to post it and it had me REELING. Lowes as a company no longer offers the 10% military discount on lumber, large appliances and accessories, and things like wiring, cord, etc. The thing that infuriates me is that 2020 and 2021 we're some of the best years for income for Lowes due to a lot of people being stuck at home and working on renovations and projects and I only know they are doing this not to conserve costs but because home Depot did it and they know they can get away with it. Lowes parades itself like it honors veterans and such but CLEARLY doesn't.

I hate that it is a fact but it is. Edit: since everyone says im a liar (why would i lie about my shit job not paying me what i deserve?) 55k per year is approx $27/hr Yes its an engineering job that only pays 55k per year but thats the shit state of jobs in america and employers not paying people what they are worth. Hourly average in my city is about $30-32/hr depending on what times of day you drive.
Don’t fall for the scam
I just got a message from one of the shittiest, underpaying and overworking call center company im my country, telling me that I “applied” for a telemarketing position for them on InfoJobs. Just logged into my profile on the site, never applied for the company and never would, as it is know for lack of respect and living wages for their workers, mandatory overtime, shitty benefits and shitty supervisors/management. I'm questioning if this is even legal, althoug it probably is. I just find it funny how these call centers are so desperate to hire. It is well known that turnover rates for these kind of bussines are high, but (at least in my city) I can see a rising movement of people complaining about/actually quitting these kinds of company. (sorry for possible errors, english is not my native languange)
The Indeed post says only this: Kennel attendant / veterinary assistant: “Help in kennel taking care of dogs and helping doctors, and all other duties assigned by managers and doctor's” (Yes, doctor's, not doctors) Working at this small hospital in this position was HELL. I went to the emergency room for a panic attack for the first time in my life after a shift. I was so demoralized working here that I have avoided thinking or talking about it until now when I realize, maybe getting this off my chest here will help me heal and move on. Here is what happened to me, an unwitting young woman who applied to be a kennel technician: • Red flag #1: I was invited to interview after applying online. When I arrived, they had me fill out a completely new application on paper, having only heard of me for the first time…
I will never give 2 weeks notice
If they are an at-will employer, I will be an at-will employee. Also idc if it means they won't be a good reference, I lie on my resume anyways and I've never been caught.
WTF unprofessional interview
I was just told during an interview that I would not be moving on in the interview process because there was feedback on my end via Microsoft Teams and it was too distracting. Maybe call my cell phone instead then!? 🥴
I applied to McDonald’s earlier, because money’s tight. On the application they asked me these two questions that seemed so pointless to me: “How much fun are you?” “Are you competitive?” Why the fuck do you need to know? I’m here to make burgers and leave, not be a cheerleader. Piss off. I have no problems lying to megacorps.
