If these stupid companies really want to hire me…then text or email me. I do NOT want to talk on the phone. Sorry not sorry ️

All you need is love
I was recently sent this article from a supervisor. It was sent to a leadership email group within the company asking for feedback and thoughts. I had a hard time coming up with an honest response that wasn't needlessly argumentative. I thought I would post here and see what y'all think. https://www.inc.com/marcel-schwantes/why-are-people-quitting-their-jobs-it-may-come-down-to-1-thing-theyre-not-getting-from-employers.html
The post defending the Fox News interview is still the most absurd post on this forum….but I’ll be damned if the one about being forced to dye her hair didn’t make a legit run at it. Aren’t there already many subreddits for fan fiction? Let me check my ham-handed silly bingo card, while re-reading the “dye hair” post: Unavoidable condition: CHECK *BONUS: Physical trait Shitty, Incompetent, Undeserving Boss: CHECK *BONUS: Trust-fund bro *DOUBLE BONUS: Narcissist, Grotesquely Self-entitled Universal, automatic and unquestionably wrong situation / allegation: CHECK *BONUS: Misogyny, sexism, ageism Over-explaining things to make oddities “fit”: CHECK Poses painfully obvious and unmistakably rhetorical softball question as being sincere: CHECK I want to quit – and can – but haven’t (so as to further inspire comments, as if the fake situation still remains unresolved): CHECK *BONUS: Lawyer, HR, BCC’D, lawsuit I’m still working here, with these imagined monsters, so as to…
Taking A Break Between Jobs
Just wanted to get some opinions on this one. I am working my first job out of college, in IT. I like the job but there are some major issues with the company I am working for. Chaos and being disorganized is the main thing. Wanted to get some opinions on quiting a job before you have another job lined up. My parents tell me it's just something you never do. For me I feel kind of burnt out because of the chaos of my current job and wouldn't mind a month off to clear my head and focus on finding a really good company to work for. Let me know what you all think!
Quitting like a pro

It’s not about the money
I'm self teaching myself on the side as far as computer programming languages , also doing various personal projects to improve my knowledge & build a portfolio. Please note im not quitting my job tomorrow or anything , I am not starting my Upwork journey until & am skilled enough to the point where i wouldn't make as a shitty temp worker. I heard through some friends & classmates that Working through the freelancing site “Upwork” is a nice alternative & that freelancing jobs are on the rise versus your traditional 40 hours a week hourly job. So just wanted some input , have any of you all every worked through upwork.com ? & if so how was your experience ? just curious before I fully dedicate myself words this path , thanks again .
If you gotta work…
Then find you a good one and don’t settle! Been wanting to post this for a while but now finally am ready to share some thoughts [burner account]. Background: me, fairly intelligent, hard working, some college (basically bachelor level w/o the paper), passionate person who really tries to do their best each day. Worked for 7 years(!) for a company that would absolutely never let anyone advance. It was flexible so whatever, it worked at the time. Quit after an ex-employee tried to run me over in the parking lot (story for another time) Took another job that seemed great at first but soon came to find that every single day I pulled into that parking lot, I’d rather just die right then and there. Toxic, terrible mission, stale, depressing environment. After a year of that depressing job, my partner and I couldn’t take it anymore, dropped everything and up…
The whole idea makes me cringe and it’s not on my list of responsibilities nor do I work in sales/marketing but he kinda insists. That being said, I’m happy with the remuneration which is why I always do what is expected of me but I also get anxious just by thinking about it. Thoughts?
One that applies to my line of work. How does a company treat it's engineers and scientist? It treats them like mushrooms. Keep them in the dark and feed them sh*t.
