Once Carlos died, they put a guard on the virtical boring lathe and went safety crazy. Otherwise…. this is the story of two men, who were just trying to provide. Carlos Alfonso was said to have died at exchangers on his own accord without having anything to do with the work environment according to this link When the investigation took place they never accounted in that Carlos was late that day for work because he had locked his keys in his truck he said. When he arrived the supervisor rode his ass about being late and was yelling at him. Corporate America has seen spiked prices during this pandemic making record profits while offering employees nothing. They are donating to lobbying firms and politicians for even more leverage against you. Today is Sunday, February 20th. Do NOT go into work Monday the 28th. Share this message everywhere, on social media, tell your friends, family, neighbors; everyone. We the people are spreading the message from this day on that every worker deserves a living wage. We are not asking, we are telling the billionaires you have gone too far and it ends today. If employees were paid what they brought in via profits most $15/hr would be paid 75/hr. How is that $60/hour extra going to the companies that treat us like dogs? Less than an hour of breaks because that's the minimum your state allows? Really? CEOs make 375 times their lowest paid employees on average (data is a few…
How to work towards hating society less
Itās something most of us on this sub will live with. Hating their society but also needing to be a part of it, the other option being starvation. Iāve got to the point where I hate this country an society so much that itās severely affecting mental health and entire life. I canāt do anything without stressing about work, the future, consumerism etc. I just wanted to ask if anyone had any ideas on how to get over this, I still want to be aware of the things going wrong in society, I just donāt want them to consume me. Anyone have any tactics/mechanisms to help let go?
I need to be āthankfulā
I currently work for a company that operates kiosks inside of Walmarts. Yesterday while I was with a client I got a horrible pain in my side and almost threw up. I managed to finish with that client but TOLD my boss I was going to the emergency because something was definitely wrong. I soon got a call on the work phone as I was getting up to leave that I was not allowed to leave the desk before I finished all of thatās days appointments. I said I physically could not continue to sit at a desk for another 5 hours in pain like this. I closed down my kiosk and took myself to the er. As I was being admitted my boss called and told me that I should be āthankfulā she let me leave and not discipline me. Anyway i found out I have a kidney stone…
I was at a dinner last night with some of my folksā conservative friends in the US (Iāve lived in Ireland for over 20 years). They were asking about our government run health service when one cut in that itās not freeāitās prepaid before you use it with your taxes. She said it was the same with cheaper university fees. So she doesnāt like state services because everyone pays for them whether they use them or not? Kind of likeā¦insurance. Earlier, she was telling me how cheap her grandsonās university degree was going to be in Australiaāmuch cheaper than it would have been in the US. I have no wordsā¦
Just happened to have to call him with a question. You know, like Iām supposed to. Conversation spiraled into an honest chat about the disorganization of the company. I literally get sent 26 pallets with less than 24 hours notice all the time. Most recently 2 days after getting a foot of snow. I have no loading dock and no storage area for shipments other than shipping containers outside often frozen shut that the pallets are too tall to fit in. They donāt give me the inventory count for shipments and I have to recount them nearly every time. 10 degrees or not. I canāt take holiday or even have a single day off without checking email to make sure nothing is coming. We never have people scheduled to unload trucks, so I need to know ASAP to try and get help. Iām spiraling again. Anyway, the guy finally asked…
