Hey all, I have been browsing this subreddit for a decent amount of time but have never made a post. Anyway. I work for a small town doing IT stuff and love all of my coworkers. I think they are pretty great and are the reason that I am still here at the job tbh. However, there is one of them that I work with that is a snitch. and I MEAN HORRIBLE. Last week, my boss was gone for a week due to a conference, so for most of the week we were working pretty lightly and all using our personal phones. One of my coworkers decided to tell my boss that I was using my phone an absurd amount and not doing any work (Mind you, I was the only one that didn't have any tickets assigned to me, and was caught up with all the day to…

Possible illness for job change
Hey guys. I quit my job in December 2021. I would have to stay till end of march. Talked to my boss about leaving one month prior – he just declined yesterday. My colleague which will be my successor has got time twice a week for handing my work over to him. Due to the lack of time I have to stay till end of march. Which means I’m bored most of the time because I don’t have to do anything. What possible illness could I have to sweeten my time and stay at home Thanks for the advice and sorry about my English
My wife sent me this asking for advice and I thought I should ask Reddit. Email was about how nurses would extra $500 for working extra shift at the COVID unit basically after any nurse would have completed their 40 hours for that week and then picked up extra day to help out in COVID unit. And CNO wrote an email to the whole hospital. “I ignored the email because I am in college and study after work/ weekends. I am a school nurse and I was hired through the hospital instead of the school district. School got canceled suddenly for 3 weeks (Jan 17 to Feb 4) after that email and I was told to come to the hospital to do COVID testing where I put in 48 hours each week. The manager told us they were short shafted and needed us to work there. I did not read…
Thank you for the push
A big thanks to this sub for giving me the push to get away from my current role and look at other opportunities. I've been offered a new role paying just short of £10k more (as I won't have to pay a mandatory fixed amount into my pension fund with this new role and can set my own percentage, my take home will definitely be increasing!) for a role that offers more development in the skillset I want to develop, but have been unable to due to the nature of my current role. I've resigned from my current role and going through my notice period, before looking forward to two weeks off then moving into my new role. Getting away from public sector feels like the best choice I've made in a long time. I'll always say it helped me get my foot in the door and develop my skills…

I don’t know what to do.
I was sick at the beginning of January (Covid) and out of work for half a week. Then I was sick at the beginning of this month and out for basically four days that week. Point is, I've missed a lot of work. In my head I think to myself, I'm just being a baby and I need to push through it and get my a** to work. But people are saying that I need to take care of myself. Now, I hurt my back yesterday at the beginning of the day. And it's debilitating. (But I still pushed through the whole day at work) I need to rest it or it won't get better. I thought about taking the day off today but I decided to skip the gym instead to hopefully appease my back a little. ( I go to the gym at 4:30am every weekday morning and…
