Autistic with no choice other than to work seeking advice for interview process

First time posting but I frequent the comments. I’m in a position where I have to make more money than what I’m getting from gig work. I am autistic and applied for disability this year, but as we all know our ever present bills do not disappear and I have no idea if or when I’ll get any kind of decision regardless of it being highly likely to be approved. So I’m hoping to get some advice from others – autistic or otherwise – on how to get through interviews. After over 3 decades of perfecting my mask, it all came crashing down and I’ve been unable to do even basic tasks for months. After over 3 decades of perfecting my mask, it all came crashing down and I’ve been unable to do even basic tasks for months. I lost all my masking skills this year so my social abilities are a complete disaster now. I can’t pretend to be excited about anything that isn’t genuine. I can’t do all the little things I have always been able to do before that allowed me to at least pretend when I needed to.

What do I do? How do I answer interview questions without completely tanking my chances (because I have a tendency to be bluntly honest)? For the first time in my life I am at a loss on this and I could really use some advice from the people of this subreddit. I really would like to avoid losing my apartment and am constantly stressed out because I have yet to even get contacted back for a single interview for entry level jobs that I don’t even want to do and I know will seriously risk my mental health collapsing all over again.

As a note, I am working with a non-profit recruiter who specialize and prioritize people with disabilities, but I just got connected with them so no interviews yet. They’re working on scrubbing and restructuring my resume currently.
