Back into Office

apologies for formatting, as I am on mobile My company just issued an email stating that we are “strongly encouraged” to go back into the office 2-3 days a week starting in two weeks. I have worked for the company for 1.5 years and have never once been into the office. I enjoy all of the perks that come with WFH- mainly not having to pay for gas on what would be an hour and a half each way commute. I recently received a promotion and a new position. However we were just informed about the return to office “guidelines” and I have no intention of going in. I would rather find a new job than lose an extra 8+ hours a week (basically another day of work) commuting. What should be my response when asked to come in/ why I haven’t been going in?
