So I had an interview at Cracker Barrel today via Indeed. They have an ad posted for an overnight cleaner. I got asked to take the job and set up an interview with a lady who doesn't work at the restaurant I was applying at. So I get to the interview this morning and the manager after making me sit for 20 minutes sits down and asks if I would be interested in a daytime server position as they already had someone doing the cleaning job who has been there for a couple years. I was absolutely floored. I told him I was insulted by this and asked why he thought it was ok to waste my time and gas to have me come out here for a job that is pretty much the exact opposite as I was told I was interviewing for. He began to apologize and then kind of did a 180 and said it's not his fault and I should have been more open to other opportunities. I said my peace on how the hours and the job are absolutely nothing I'm looking for and told him my time was precious as I do side work during the day and work around my daughter's schedule and it was very hard to clear this block of time. I also asked him if an employee showed up 20 minutes late for work if they would be disciplined. I wasn't even offered a glass of water while I waited. He got up and took an almost aggressive stance and told me we are done here. I asked him politely to be calm that his tone and posture were very threatening and he charged in my direction before stopping himself. I calmly walked out and stopped by the hostess stand to tell her there were much better opportunities elsewhere where you don't have to work for a manager like that. Ridiculous waste of time
