So covid sent us all home, and I realized my lupus symptoms are much lower when I'm home -and not having to use up energy to get ready, pack food, and drive in, and sit under Fluorescent lights all day.
I tried getting accommodations to stay home when they brought everyone else in… they decided they'd rather spend the money giving me an office with the right kind of lights.
The day to day tasks really don't require in person interactions. The team mostly communicates and helps each other through zoom. I was wfh for almost two years so obviously the job can be done remotely.
My office is by what I think is a fire/security door that's between this set of rooms and the break room/rest of the space that gets closed and locked nightly.
I got fkin locked in tonight.
Edit – there was a couple people in the building for the later shift so I messaged one of them to come let me out.
Like, straight up forgotten and/or they didn't realize I was still there (why wouldn't they at least check??). AND there were two other instances it almost happened.
They force me back in just to sit at a desk by myself all day and essentially forgotten.
