Been working for the same company for 10.4 years earning £84k ($95k) currently remote as lead software dev – asked boss for a couple of hours off every Thu to take daughter to dance class and was told that he was not happy and that I should show “commitment to the business”

I can probably find another job fairly quick if I quit. I also have about 3 months emergency fund that will cover all the house expenses. Just want to say to him that I’m committed to my family and hand over my notice. Because I work remotely I can make up the difference at night which would be totally fine – however he told me that I must commit to the business. I tried to find another class for my daughter, but we leave in a remote area which makes things a bit more difficult. Any extra advice? Thanks
