Being an employee during an acquisition is so dehumanizing

Found out the relatively small company I work for is being bought out by a huge megacorp. In all of the chaos as they're trying to get new offers together and such, and all I can think about is how… Weird and unnerving this feels. Like. The company is being bought… And that includes me? That's just. Gross. And dealing with this fear and insecurity at a time like this, when I can barely afford things as is… Like how did I have some sense of security during the worst of the pandemic, but now I have to worry? It's just awful. Just being shuffled around and moved about like I'm not a thinking and feeling human. I know staying is a choice, but this job accommodates my health issues, it's the first job I've been able to keep without attendance issues getting in the way. I don't think the megacorp will continue that once the changes start happening anyway. I hate this.
