Sadly after having certain disagreements with management I decided to hand in my 4 weeks notice. Rather than battle out my point of view I choose to wave the flag and leave amicably without going into too much detail.
employee's get a leaving do or something arranged whether it a small token or whatever. Don't think much of it as the person leaving is never cc'd in for the “surprise”.
Anyways the weeks go on plodding along, then we arrive to my last week, Still nothing.. At this point I expected there would be nothing, which I was fine with. Happy just to say my good byes and leave.
Then we finally get to the day of Glory, the day of no return.. My final day. I get to the office and turns out everyone, minus one other sales guy and our receptionist was WFH.. Not even my manager came to say goodbye.. for the matter not even a goodbye on Microsoft Teams.
Just a firm reminder your colleagues aren't you friends, nor do the majority care.
Anyways there was no point to this, just a disgruntled ex employee looking to share his sad tale.
