I’m interviewing for writing jobs and holy shit it’s frustrating. I’ve now done three test projects for three different companies (essentially free labor so they can see my “writing style” and if I’d be “a good fit”). I’ve also done several hours of interviewing and these MFs won’t have the decency to respond to my follow up emails, they just straight up ghost me!
I’m just ranting here because I feel so defeated. I’ve put them on blast on Glassdoor but it’s not enough. It takes two seconds to tell someone they are either still being considered for a job or not. I’ve wasted so much effort on trying to nail these interviews and do a good job on the test projects. One project took me five hours to do. I’m a new mom and still working full time and my time is precious. If you read this thank you, it’s been eating me up inside.
