Hey Antiwork,
I have never really posted anything related to work cause I used to just find a higher paying job and give my two weeks. This time is different though I really wanted to get out of my last position and was so worn out from it that I took a 4/h pay cut. This would be fine since I was under the impression after a “trial period” they would increase my pay. I have earned multiple raises pretty fast. This was purely from cross training and learning things that others didn't want to. So I have recouped 1.50/h and inquired about a raise. They said and I'm paraphrasing “we don't do that here”. I love this position and my coworkers but I did apply to another facility that does my line of work. I don't want to jump ship but I also don't want the other company to blacklist me. (For lack of a better description)
The main goal is to get a offer letter and show it to my mangers saying this is what the other company thinks I'm worth. “So you can pay that or I can just go with them.”
Is there a way to save face with both sides and do this more eloquent or just face the fact that one side will be upset at me?
Also I appreciate any feedback in advance!
