Amazon is laying off several thousand employees right before Thanksgiving here in the US.
It’s no mistake that Bezos has been busy talking about giving his wealth to charity, donating 100 million to Dolly Parton and doing a puff piece interview with CNN to fully create this image of a compassionate and caring person just trying to do their best.
Don’t let him spin the narrative. He’s a billionaire. With his vast amount of wealth if he wanted to truly prevent a recession he could. If he really didn’t want to see thousands of people get laid off right before the holidays he could.
Fuck billionaires. They are a net negative to society.
