This company was super shady. So my colleague who joined 3 months ago, who was promised UI/UX work but got stuck with graphic design work convinced the company to let him use his ticket 9 months in advance.
Company agreed, he flew back home and stopped answering work calls and emails. He came back right after payday then he quit. So they don’t deduct the visa money from his salary. They know it’s illegal so they can’t make him pay it. He got another job elsewhere on top of all this.
Obviously management asked if he could finish his current campaigns, he said no. He was the only graphic designer as well and had so many campaigns and proposals he was working on.
Management said he was being super unprofessional and he should serve a notice period, he replied with “was it professional when you fired x and y at the end of the work day with no notice?”
He gave in his laptop and company phone and left.
