Hey all, like my title says, spark notes:
-work for a rather large corporation
-as I’ve been improving, promised promotion
-continuous conversations
-review tremendous/given exceeded merit increase
-told by manager, HR is essentially blocking promotion because hiring managers “don’t want me on their team” (which doesn’t make sense at all given my reviews)
-told that I don’t have future in marketing at company, seek other areas
Something just doesn’t smell right here…I don’t know what could have happened. It’s extremely frustrating to be treated like this after working to exceed expectations and pouring a couple years into an org. I’m looking externally now, and doing what’s right for me. But thoughts on this/experience?
