Blue vans delivery company owner- ask me anything. Roast me.

I own one location that runs around 40 routes perday and I employ around 90 employees, we deliver in all branded livery for one the Largest online retailer in the world. (Just some context if you read past the tittle) We pay (contract minimum obligated rate to a large Ecommerce company) is different based on region) but its usually $2-3 more than retail/ fastfood worker store wages. Eg: if homedepot or walmart starts at $15, it would pay $17, these are easily verifiable- look at indeed and search for “delivery driver”. Its def a revolving door and even though i tried and pay more- no one really last more than 2 years Generally speaking, Iwould say that most of my workes are motivated at the beginning (the honeymoon period) – this does change overtime, as they would demand more perhour as their productivity dwindles. Its almost counter productive for me…

Generally speaking, Iwould say that most of my workes are motivated at the beginning (the honeymoon period) – this does change overtime, as they would demand more perhour as their productivity dwindles. Its almost counter productive for me to keep anyone longer than 3 months. So i hire nonstop. Even wih hourly wage incease, benefits such as PTO, etc. These wages still barely covers a persons expense for a month.

Even as an owner, i have asked the person im contracted to, to pay more but they have another 2000 contractors willing to do it for less.

I dislike this partnership with them as its lopsided and doesnt give a good wage to the workers.

If only people realize that – only way to truly get everyone out of this funk, is to stop accepting these low wage jobs.

Put me out of business by not letting anyone work for these wages so I can make a case..
