Dude jumped to so many conclusions he should join the Olympics because he might win the jumping related competitions.
Him: “Hey can you come in to work tomorrow, say 5 to whenever?”
Me: “I can.”
Him: “You can't?”
Me: 'I can.”
Him: “you can't?”
Me, silently annoyed: “I am able to.”
Him: “Okay”
Me: “5 to what time?”
Him: “Whenever.”
Me: “Is 8 okay?”
Him: “Yeah, sure.”
He later berates me for asking to leave at the agreed time. I tell him I need to take my pills and he accuses me of lying on my application about not having any health issues and how I agreed to close as part of my application and I can't be doing this and all that BS.
- I did not lie on my application, I just need to take my birth control at 8:00 because being off on the time can lower the efficacy of it and I do not want the stress of getting pregnant.
1A. If he told me beforehand he wanted me to work to close instead of this “whenever” BS I would have brought my pills and there wouldn't have been a problem.

I told him I have an undiagnosed stomach issue during the interview and tbh for all he knows the pills had to do with managing that. And partly, they do. He said this would not be a problem.

Adding on to 1A, I am willing to close.
Yes, I am actively searching for a new job. This is the same boss I reported for wage theft, and I'm pretty certain he did it on purpose and I fully expect all future paychecks to be the same way or worse.
Unfortunately, I can't jump ship without somewhere else to land or I will drown in the sea of “how dare you be one day late on rent you're outta here” from the same landlord who kicked out a military veteran because there was an issue with payment.
(for anyone wondering how I would get home on time to take my pills if I leave and also need to take them at 8, it only takes 4 minutes to get home and I wasn't super concerned about that.)
