So last Thursday my boss called in saying she wasn’t coming in because she had tested positive for Covid that morning. No big issue, she didn’t come in for the rest of the week and we told everyone who asked for her she was sick. Monday morning someone comes in saying they have an interview with her, we tell the person she’s sick and won’t be in today. An hour later my boss shows up, without a mask mind you. I tried to avoid her as best I could but my role works with her directly and requires me to be in close quarters with her. If she tested positive Thursday, her quarantine wouldn’t legally end until Tuesday, but she came in Monday anyway. She works from home most days as well so she easily could have stayed home an extra day. An hour or so later I went on my lunch break and made an excuse to go home early after that because my father is immune compromised and I didn’t want to risk catching Covid from her. Is there anything I can do to file this with the health department or something? I’m an hourly employee so I missed out on wages avoiding her yesterday because I didn’t feel safe coming into work.
