I have been at my job since February 24th if that helps.
So in my offer letter & job description, it says I do not have to be at work until 845am but have a 10 minute grace period. The earliest we are allowed to come & clock in for work is 830. No earlier because our system won’t even let us clock in until 830.
The earliest we can leave is 4. The absolute latest we can leave is 6 (save for emergency situations.)
I get to work everyday between 830 & 835. I clock in as soon as I hit the parking lot. This is acceptable as our location is enabled & gets approved by our area manager.
My direct supervisor, ‘Leila’, called me into the office & said I come into work late everyday. I told her I didn’t know what she was talking about as I get there either right on time which is 830 or 5 minutes after clock in which is 835. She then informed me that the grace is period is 5 minutes, not 10. I informed her that even if that was the case, I still technically wasn’t late if I got there at 830 or 835 & I don’t actually -have- to be there until 845.
She got pissy with me & called the area manager who told her the exact same thing I did. Now she’s saying I don’t need to work there if I don’t follow the rules to be on time. Im not entirely sure what rules I’m supposed to follow since I’m technically there early everyday.
Just wanted to vent about my crappy boss to some people who might understand.
