Boss cut modest bonuses after the hardest year we’ve had. Coworker who was leaving saw it coming and made sure to give us a “bonus” of their own on their way out to remind us we are appreciated by others

Such a nice gesture- she wanted to remind us we work hard and are appreciated, even if not by the boss. We've been dangerously short staffed, had to fight for OT, had turnover higher than the size of the small team we have. We're all exhausted. I will miss coworker but proud of them for prioritizing their mental health.
