So he’s done this before. I’ve been working here since the fall and I originally started working 10:30 to 5:30. Than he gradually cut my hours by 15 minutes. About a couple months in it was 5:15 then a few more months 5:00 but I didn’t say anything because it wasn’t that big of a deal to me since I only work part time and I don’t need money too badly right now but I always said if it goes below 5:00 pm I’m saying something because I really didn’t like the fact he didn’t tell me.
Well fast forward to now he cut it to the point I get off at 4! He cut a whole fuckin hour at once and an hour an a half total from when I started and yep, he didn’t tell me. So I instantly texted him and he said “it’s very slow, full time drivers (I’m a deliver driver) doing less hours. We need to give hours to all. We can figure out next week.”.
So I’m going to talk to him tomorrow about it. I’ll admit we have been slow and since I work part time I don’t know how much hours other people get but I also don’t know them if they’re actually getting cut too. I doubt he’d lie about that but idk. I don’t have a great relationship with him since I don’t actually work with him and I don’t work that much. Mind you I’m not new to the job. I’ve had this job for a year and a half I just relocated last fall so I’m new with him.
So I’m just looking for any advice on something I should say or make sure happens to anything like that. I’ve had times with other bosses where we have disagreements and I’ve been getting better at sticking up for myself but I still sometimes just bow down sorta speak because of my timid nature. So any adobe would be helpful.
