The company handbook reads time off must be approved “at least one week ahead of time” Is this a grey area? I gave them 32 days of notice. Can they fire me for still going? If I have someone who said they are willing to cover for me but they still deny me, can I still go or will I lose my job? I’ve called out sick before twice. Boss has spoken highly of me but still gets extremely pissed when I call off sick more than two days in a row. Will be gone for three. Thoughts, opinions, insight, and experience would be heavily appreciated.
