So it's Fri night and my last day with my company is on Wed. My boss HAD to talk to me after 5PM yesterday and when I don't answer her call to my cell phone, she messages me on teams to call her URGENTLY! (I'm a dumbass and answered a group teams msg like 30 sec after ignoring her call). I decided fine.. I'll call back, but I'll make her talk to me on my time around 7PM (my anxiety gets the best of me there – I shouldn't have called back).
Her URGENT call was telling me how they are filling my position and moving staff around and that they are announcing it on Monday during our staff meeting (is there anything urgent about that?), BUT THEN, the real reason she calls is to continue to tell me how she knows with the severe IMPORTANCE of this weekend's events, that I will give 120% until I finish out on Wednesday and that she knows I “wouldn't want to leave us in a bad place this weekend.”
So essentially, this B has the audacity to call me on Wed evening and threaten me to work over my ass off this weekend to ensure our events run smoothly (I'm remote in operations) while thinking I'm dumb enough to think it was MY idea to work super hard to finish this job out!!
Looks like I'll be giving it a whole 120% minus 100% for this weekend's support. Heck…I might just lose my internet this weekend . Who knows. 🤷️

TLDR: Boss calls me less than a week before I leave trying to trick me into thinking I need to work “120%” throughout this weekend and until I leave because “that's the kind of person she knows I am”.Laughable.
