Recently got a promotion, and he “went to bat” for me. Well I got dicked around as an internal candidate for the SECOND time, so I started looking. Found a company down the street offering:

Bonus incentives
Higher 401k match
More vacation time

Company phone
3 day work weeks (5 now)
Absolutely hilarious why he would be confused as to why I'm leaving the Chinese owned shithole I'm currently working at.
So I took the promotion, banged them for 3 weeks at a salary increase and gave my two weeks. They then said I couldn't use my vacation time in my two weeks, so I rewrote my resignation letter and quit a week earlier and had them pay me out.
Feeling like I won.
