I work in retail and my store has a visit in the morning. I came into work at 4:45 and closing is at 10. This is what she expected me and one other person to do in five hours:
– Work register
– Assist customers
– Recover/zone/front every item in the store
– Sweep and mop the entire store
If the store is not to her expectation when she arrives, we will be written up and forced to come in early to explain to the district manager why we didn't finish.
This is on top of constant schedule changes and employees being called in on their days off to cover her and her family members' shifts.
Also, I'm two cents short of being fired for a short register. I'm panicking but I'm not sure why, I feel like I shouldn't care. This job is killing me.
