I work at a childcare facility in Florida. I work 9-10 hour shifts and noticed when looking at my check stub that my hours were off. Apparently our boss takes an hour out for a break that we never receive. We also don’t get paid for our final week if we don’t give a two weeks notice. I’m pretty sure both of these are highly illegal but I don’t know how to go about reporting it or if I even have any legal ground. Any advice on what to do? I’d like to quit due to a recent event but I’m in need of my last paycheck.
