Boss liking hypocritical posts on LinkedIn

Sorry this is a bit of a rant. Edit: I’m just editing this intro paragraph in case someone from my team sees this since there’s probably enough details to trace it to me. Basically—team leader’s insecurities make him incredibly rude and hard to collaborate with, and makes the job difficult. I feel like that could be a post enough, but that’s not even what’s getting me at this moment. When one of our coworkers raged quit over frustrations with his leadership, instead of hiring a replacement he hired his friend to be a yes man in a not needed role. There’s incompetence, and then there’s “I wasted two hours talking to you about the details of a project that you were pretending you know about and turns out you were just faking it so now I wasted hours working on it incorrectly and still have no info” incompetence.

Also, can’t even manage a simple schedule of due dates.

I had taken a week off after working several 50-60 hour weeks, some of which traveling, in a row. I had a miscarriage a few months before and I was also just wanting to take time off around the would-be due date to just be sad. It was perfect timing because nothing was due that week.

Except that there was a major project due that week, because they messed up the schedule AGAIN. I had nearly completed anyway but having to work during my time off—no apology, no explanation. Just frantic insane text messages at inappropriate hours. I got all the details from my coworker that it was yes man’s mistake was what happened. I got it done but I was really mad it cut into a time I needed to check out for awhile.

So whatever. Some other ridiculous things happened where I was “in trouble” for being mad but its fine. I’m very forgive and move on.

Only today I just saw on LinkedIn that yes man is liking all these influencer posts about “you should never bother someone during their vacation time”. Are. You. Kidding. Me????

I just feel so sad and disrespected. That’s all. Thank you for reading.
