I'm a dev and sometimes there's not a lot to do when a big project is wrapped up or boss or team lead just didn't delegate much work for me. Boss slacked me last night saying he was looking over time logs and saw that I logged a lot of down time. Said I'm expected to find work when there's nothing to do. They expect me to have little to no down time, that I should have work at all times. I don't see how optimizing human resources is my responsibility. If he's not delegating work to everyone then that's his problem. I've already updated my resume, linkedin, and calling up contacts about a new job.
