A couple of weeks ago I was training with a department within the company that sort of oversees the department I work in. The person training me asked me to send her my job description because the department is working to make the job descriptions for everyone in my type of role more consistent across the board.

This is when I realize I don’t have the description on record, even for my own files, so I request it from my supervisor. Instead of just sending it to me, she gives me a paper copy and tells me not to share it with the overseeing department because “we’ve been asking them to do a comprehensive review of job descriptions for years and they never did anything.” So now she wants me to withhold it so she can play her spite games—with me in the middle? What should I do? (I took that paper copy right back to my office and scanned that shit so I have an electronic version. But seriously, so strange)
