I’ll keep it short since I have a meeting with him soon lmao
But essentially, there’s a 3 day conference in December for about 300-400 of our staff. The initial invite was sent back in June and I said I couldn’t go. I said I wasn’t comfortable with attending an indoor conference with multiple hundred people w/ COVID still happening.
Nothing was made a big deal until this week. My boss emails me and asks if I changed my mind and how COVID isn’t really a factor anymore (lol). I said I still wasn’t comfortable but I’ll let him know for sure by Friday my final answer.
He then schedules a call with me this afternoon called “Conference talk”. So I’m anticipating to be pressured to go when I already said no! I’m worried he & the company can use this against me but the invite DID say attendance wasn’t required. Am I screwing myself by sticking firm and not going? Or should I just suck it up & go?
I really don’t want to lose my job over this but this pressure seems out of no where and Im equally frustrated and worried about the consequences of not going…
