Before being told this my fellow interns told me what they were offered. I was offered a significantly higher starting salary (10k more) and i know why. First the other interns have been here three months and i have been here for about 9. Also I went to a fundraiser event that my job had a table at and the person training me had one too many glasses of wine and told me about how AMAZING of an employee I am and how everyone on the team loves me and that he is pissed at the other intern’s because they show up late every single day (this is true) and act like they dont give af(i show up on time every single day never been late)
Just wanted to explain that so you know why i understand i got offered more and why i am thinking of not fighting what my boss said. I was offered 70k starting straight out of college which is more than i could have dreamed of!
I am just wondering. Isn’t what my boss told me lowkey illegal? I live in Georgia which is an at-will state so maybe not. But I thought being fired for discussing salary was illegal. I don’t plan on telling the other interns i make more but still.
