I am a new grad in my field. When I first started, I was told I would have all the time & training I needed to be successful. The lie detector test determined that was a lie.
After about 8 weeks on the job I was somehow expected to be on par with the person who had been there for over 5 years. How is that even possible?
The final straw occurred when I had a meeting with my boss & lead in my department to see why I wasn’t up to their standards yet. They said I had 30 days to improve drastically or I was going to be terminated. They wanted to know why I no longer had the “fire”.
I no longer had that fire because they were constantly beating me down. Constant negativity. I started looking for a new job, applied, & was hired within 2 weeks. I have a better position, awesome coworkers, & making a lot more money!
Managers need to realize they need to be good to us or we’re going somewhere else.
