Boss told me today to put the organizations needs before my personal ones

Had my semiannual performance evaluation today. Overall actually went decent but one of the categories I’m graded in is leadership development, which I got a “below expectations on.” The justification? “Needs to set personal needs aside for organizational strategy.” What this is code for is I asked my boss for a raise a few months ago because I have fallen dramatically behind. Surprisingly I got the raise, but was penalized for it now. Not entirely sure how my meager raise, which equates to a few thousand dollars, is supposed to impact a multibillion dollar companies strategy so much it shows my leadership development is faltering. I made sure my boss knew I wasn’t thrilled.
