Currently I am working for a food manufacturing plant and last night while at work at about 2am one of our night shift cleaners had a heart attack and died on the job. Flash forward to now almost 11am and our managers still have not even made and announcement or acknowledgement of this tragic event.
I understand that it is a hard situation to deal with for everyone involved but it really makes me feel undervalued as an employee.
This man had worked here for many years and was only a few weeks from retirement and we can't even find the decency to acknowledge his life? I have never been more sure I am just a number to this place.
