I used to work at mcdonlds like a year ago. They would overwork me as well as berate me. Store manager used to be condescending every chance she git. Example, i'd do something wrong and she'd berate me. I'd try and say something like “I didn't know I wasn't prop…” and she'd put her hand to my face and then walk away shaking her head. I'd get lunches super late from them. Store manager would talk shit about me to the other managers and laugh.
They'd send me outside in 110°+ weather. To tell the cars to have their payment ready. Store manager who's 5ft prob shorter literally told another manager “He's a midget he's probably gonna get run over” and proceeded to laugh (i'm 5'7)Ik its short but wow. After constant berating and being overworked. I started to come in late and would be berated infront of other workers. After a while I couldn't take it. My mental health was diminishing so one day I just never showed up. It's been one year. I think I need to show up to get my tax form w2. I also never got my last pay check. Would I still be entitled for the money for those hours I worked? California btw.
