Boss told me “you can’t leave untill you finish this job”

I work as a diesel mechanic and today I decided to leave a bit early around 1pm to hang with some friends. We currently have a high priority truck in the shop that needed to get done sooner than later. I told my boss earlier in the day that I was leaving early and he jokingly said that I need to finish it before I leave. I got into my street clothes and my boss saw me and stopped me and said” you have to finish this truck before you leave” I told him ” I have stuff I have to get done and the transmission will be in on monday” he reminded me that this was a high priority customer (owner of the branch is somehow involved with this truck) and said “if I where you I'd install that transmission before you knave” as he walked off. I left. I have a life and I've already done almost 50 hours of work this week, the trucks gonna sit untill Monday anyway since the radiators out. I know this isn't really asking anything but I just needed a place to vent thanks guys
