I work for a small company, and I’ve been asked to find “solutions” to my boss’ desire to monitor productivity of remote workers.
I think this software is generally invasive and I’d like “productivity” to be something based on the actual work being turned in as opposed to micromanaging these workers or worse, spying on them.
Is there a bum software I can push in his direction that would “accomplish” his goal of having a closer eye on employees? Maybe a software that is easier to trick with a macro or only tracks if the computer is “idle”? Many of the options out there for this sort of application log key strokes or take screenshots at intervals – I definitely want to protect the employees from invasive bullshit if possible. He is also sort of cheap (shocker) so low or no cost options may appeal to him. I appreciate any help.
