So, this happened to my boyfriend, and we are both fuming right now. My boyfriend, B, worked as an LPN at a small practice owned by the head doctor, E, of the practice. He started in 2017 and in 5 years only took a little more than a week's worth of days off, and most of that was due to a health emergency that landed him in the ICU. He quite loved his job.

As of last month, he had saved up three weeks worth of vacation because he ALWAYS went to work. His boss even saw me a few times, for free, when I needed something my insurance wouldn't cover. However, his boss didn't offer insurance to his employees, but my boyfriend didn't seem to mind.

Anyway, there was no hint of any trouble of any kind, until the end of last week. He got his paycheck before a 3 day weekend as per his schedule, and then the next day, a bombshell dropped.

His boss texted him and every other employee there, saying they no longer had jobs and by the way his paycheck was gonna bounce. One of the employees went up to the office afterwards and found an EVICTION NOTICE on the front door.

So now, he's suddenly out of work and we might lose our housing, due to a problem his boss HAD to know about before they changed the locks.

Just a precautionary tale, folks, don't trust your boss if he or she makes you feel like he or she cares, because when it comes down to it he or she will throw you under the bus if it saves them from trouble, monetary loss, or even something as small as confrontation.

TLDR: my bf worked his ass of for a man who became something of a friend, but found out he's no friend when he got screwed out of vacation, his last paycheck, and his job.
