I don't frequent this subreddit so forgive me but I am hoping that you all might have some places/people that we can talk to in order to get justice if any is possible.
My partner was just fired from his job at a horse farm for a disability that the bosses knew of since the week he started working there. He worked hard to keep up with the other employees despite his chronic UC and being immunocompromised, he worked the exact same hours(47 a week, 6 days). There are text receipts and letters from his GP. Everyday that he called out(rarely more than once a month) he would get a doctors note from the urgent care. This week we both got sick with a pretty bad cold, and so they sent him home when he tried to work through the first day not realizing it was something more than allergies. He stayed home for four days with doctors notes and the bosses knowing what was going on. He offered to work his day off but they told him to just come in on Tuesday(04/26). After being there for 3 hours, they told him that he was fired and he was devastated. He didn't act out toward the bosses but he's hurt pretty bad because he really enjoyed working with animals. He was there for over 4 months. We are in a really shitty situation because I am between jobs, we only have one car(needs work on it too), and now my bf lost his job that he made good money at and genuinely looked forward to waking up for. We live in Kentucky btw. Our lease also ends in 2 months. Please let me know if there's any important info that I'm leaving out, and if you have anyone or any organization that we can contact.
