My partner has worked for X-Desk (https://www.xdesk.com/) for 4 years. The owners is a real POS. Last year he advertised a starting wage more than current employees were making. Now he is moving the business to Temple, TX.
My partner was fired today for “attendance”. They documented that he was on a written warning for attendance. He wasn't. He wasn't even on a documented verbal warning. Some missed days listed was where employees were sent home early by management.
My partner is going to file for unemployment and will go to mediation if they want to challenge it. I can't help but think the city will be better with business owners like this gone.
