CA 2022 Covid-19 Supplemental Pay is Being Denied. Suggestions?

I work as a full time substitute teacher for a large school district in Southern California (work at the same school in the same role everyday). I just tested positive for covid-19 today which means i am unable to go into work until I have a negative test or have been out for 10 days, whichever comes first. I was just told by the admin secretary that I am only allowed 3 days of sick leave and those are the sick days that I have accrued. This link says all employees who work for companies larger than 26 people in CA are entitled to 40-80 hours of covid sick leave pay. Is there any reason that I should not be allowed to receive this? Any suggestions on how to advocate for myself in this situation? Thanks in advance!
