I work for a technical agency who contracts employees out to assignments. My hours are logged to the assignment but I am paid through the technical agency.
I get 40hrs per week for my assignment and nothing else. I was given a mandatory training that's roughly 2hrs long for covid policies. This training is expected to be taken on my own time off the clock and is being required by the technical agency, not my assignment.
Some preliminary research suggests that this is not legal. But I could not find any resource on if COVID training had special rules that made training mandatory regardless of being paid.
Any advice is greatly appreciated.
