Call center industry was literally killing me

I do understand most of us must start somewhere when you enter the workforce but when you live in a poor country and call center is the only option to have a “decent” income, you kinda stick with for life, i spend 5 years living in hell, and I had nowhere to go, my salary in a call center was 3.50 per hour which is super high where I live and the sadess part is that is even one of the best paid salaries in my country so when I finished college, none hired and those that do pay $2.50 per hour tops, and that's it that's your roof, nowhere else to go. This place had very unfair goals, terrible treatment and constant hearing of “Let's focus on what you can control” which is pretty absurd when your job depends on literally the surveys generated by the customers. And the worst part, they evaluate you with the only 1 question, so the survey said “Did (company name) made it easy for you?” Not the agents which was me, not the individual experience, but the whole company, try to send that that to anyone who's asking for a refund. I hated that place, blood pressure for the roof, until one day said, that's it, i just can't take it, i have now a new income, not the best but at least now I'm not with the constant pressure of dealing with that terrible experience.

If you ever need a job please, even flipping burgers is 100% times better than a call center. Is soooo underpay, so stressful, so controlling, and you just feel bitter all the time.

I wish unions where legal in my country.
