This guest house called me for an interview like a month ago and the general manager was yawning when she was interviewing me. then they didn't reach out after that, then suddenly two days ago I got a call if I was interested in being a kitchen attendant, I am still looking for a stable job and was like let's give this a try. Went out booking a ride in this fucking snowstorm and then I go there the manager isn't here. They send some guy to show me around and train me. He goes around in a long rambling about how the manager is strict and he doesn't want to get in trouble. he also says there's like a break to eat something but on that hour you can't fucking take a break because there's no one to replace me. Then they say I need to clean toilets and the whole fucking lobby too?
Kept me standing from 7 AM to 2:30 PM and then had the audacity to call me slow? and ask for another unpaid training session? Fuck No.
But I did say Yes because I need a job but I bailed out after I had to walk an hour in a deep foot snow walkway because there was a snowstorm and no bus came upon that area.
Hate it when people say their work is Challenging while paying minimum wage to a student.
