I worked at Canadian Tire for a week. It was awful, but I was desperate for money. My employers didn’t train me and would yell at me in front of customers multiple times a day.
I had enough and stopped going. I couldn’t hand in my two weeks notice since there was no way I’d be able to last that long.
That was about a week ago and I haven’t given back their walkie talkie yet. I have plans to do it, but I’m honestly just trying to work up the courage to go back in there.
I was supposed to get paid today, but I didn’t get anything. Can an employer dock my pay if I don’t return the walkie talkie? I know that I should’ve did it sooner, but I also know that they would’ve yelled at me if I had showed up.
I live in Alberta if that changes anything.
